// How we're set up

Small by design. Deep where it counts.

There is no account layer between you and the people producing the work. Disciplines combine as the roadmap requires — strategy alongside design, design alongside engineering — so context stays in one place and decisions stay close to delivery.

// Why the model exists

A point of view on useful capacity.

Parallel Works exists because strong enterprise teams are routinely asked to deliver more than fixed headcount can absorb. The usual choices — wait through a hiring cycle, divide the work among disconnected vendors, or hand a project to an agency that operates outside the team — all create a different kind of delay.

Beat 1 of 3

We built a model around a simpler point of view: the people shaping the work should stay close to the people delivering it. Senior practitioners join the operating rhythm, carry context across disciplines, and create capacity without creating another management layer.

Beat 2 of 3

The goal is not dependency. It is useful momentum: ship the work that matters now, strengthen the system around it, and leave the internal team with more clarity and capability than it started with.

Beat 3 of 3

// Operating principles

How we make the work work.

Velocity with a point

Speed matters when it shortens the distance to a useful outcome. We move quickly, but never confuse activity with progress.

Quality is operational

Good work includes the system around it: accessibility, maintainability, documentation, and a clear owner after launch.

Context stays close

The practitioners doing the work join the conversation. Fewer layers mean faster decisions and fewer details lost in translation.

Partnership stays honest

Risks, trade-offs, and changing priorities are made visible early. Trust comes from a shared view of the work, not a polished status report.

// Team & credibility

Leadership and experience.

Portrait of Danny Dilworth

Danny Dilworth

Founder & CEO

Danny founded Parallel Works to bridge the gap between ambitious enterprise roadmaps and the capacity required to deliver them. He has spent his career working inside complex organizations — leading digital, product, and technology initiatives where the real challenge is rarely the idea, but the coordinated execution across teams, systems, and stakeholders. At Parallel Works, he sets the operating model and stays directly involved in client work, ensuring senior judgment stays close to delivery.

UX & Research Lead

User Research · Heuristic Evaluation · QA

Zena leads the research side of the work — the interviews, the heuristic evaluation, and the quality bar everything ships against. Trained in UX design and digital marketing at General Assembly, her background spans product design and user-centered research, and it's her read on the audience that shapes what we build before a single screen is drawn.

// The bench

Senior leads. A bench shaped to the work.

Danny, Zena, and Nikita own the thinking and stay close to delivery. Around them, focused design, engineering, and QA pods expand the capacity each engagement needs.

// The practice

Independently owned and operated.

Parallel Works is an independent practice based out of Brooklyn, NY. No network, no holding company, no account layers - the person you scope with is the person who does the work. Engagements are deliberately few at a time, so every client gets senior attention from first call to final delivery.
